Publishing

If you want to publish an article, first go to the section where you want it to appear. If for instance you have written a report about a tournament and you wish to publish it, go to Category, Reports.

There you will find on the right, next to the existing articles: Menu, Members.

Click on Add new item. Subsequently you will see this:

Fill in the title, your name and (optionally) a description.
Paste your text in the empty box. You may now edit your text with (for instance) bold, italic, etc. Just like when using a text editor, you can use the buttons at the top (B, I, U, S). You can link to a different website using this button

Additional info

There are three ways in which you can add a photo or an illustration to your article.
- Upload the file to NewsAboutChess
- Link to an existing file on Internet
- Upload the file to a different website and then link to it.

Upload the file to NewsAboutChess

You publish the photo straight from your own computer into the article on NewsAboutChess. Proceed as follows:
1) Have the article editor opened with the cursor located where you wish the photo to appear.

2) Above the article there are a number of icons. Click on this one: and you will see this in a new window:

3) Click on Browse and select the photo on your own computer. Then click on the button to the right of it (upload) and you will see something like:

4) Select the middle one of three icons under Successful uploads. Something like this will appear:

5) In the article this works out as:

To link to a file elsewhere on Internet

If you are authorized to use a photo already on Internet, apply this simple method. If for instance you wish to use a photo located here , right click on the picture and select ‘Picture location properties’ or a similar description (depending on your browser).
In the article editor locate the cursor where you want the picture to appear and select the image icon, and press Ctrl-V (paste) and click OK.

This is the code appearing in the article editor:

which works out as:

Upload the file to a different website and then link to it.

You may also upload your picture to a different place on Internet and then use the second method, for instance this way:
For example: go to http://tinypic.com/
Click Browse.
Click Upload.
Enter the letters displayed to prove that you are not a robot.
Copy the IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards.
Paste this code at the desired location in the article.
We urge anyone who wishes to publish photos on NewsAboutChess to do so only after acquiring authorization from the owner of those photos.

We don't like a long name for a link to a website.]YInzhou Cup. The last part of the text is the short text about the link.

In this way we show two pictures together. Because we use center we show them in the middle of the frame.

Wang Yue is the highest rated player in the Chinese team this time where Robson is the best in the American camp. They played against each other already in the first round. It was a exiting game. Robson attacked Wang immediately after the opening but the game went wrong for hem when his bishop got stuck on h5. Wang was as usually staying calm and soon neutralized the young Americans attack. In move 32 Robson had to resign when he lost the bishop without any compensation. Another Chinese player Wen Yang also won a sharp battle against Yuri Shulman. China leads with 3 ½ to 1 ½.

In the Women’s section China won overwhelmingly 4 to 1.

pgnFile:"./datas/users/8/2013lct3_8.pgn"
